Roll Tide!!

This weekend we made our first trip down to Tuscaloosa for the year! I really wanted to wait and go to a good game, and this one was so fun!!

Another day off...

4 day weekend?? OK!

The weather from yesterday has prompted schools to close and I am not sure how I feel about it! It is nice to have yet another day off, but we will for sure have to make it up. Ho Hum...

Last night, the power was out from about 6pm until 10pm. I was grading papers by candlelight! It was kind of a funny experience. The flash from my camera makes it look more lit than it really was. I can assure you, I was having to squint! Had I known that school was out today OR that my power would indeed come back on later, I would have obviously done something else.

Now, the real challenge was to keep Elvis away from all the lit candles. I think I did a good job because he finally just went to sleep! I am quite obsessed with this little kitty.

Tiffany's Baby Shower

We had Tiffany's baby shower in Atlanta on July 30 and it was fabulous! Everything turned out so cute and everyone is anxiously awaiting the arrival of little Brodie!!

House updates

I am officially moved in and loving it! I have been trying to get everything situated and unpacked and have finally made some progress. Here is my beautiful master bedroom! It seems a little weird to have the master bedroom to myself. I'm still getting used to being the "grown-up" in the house. I love how everything turned out, though! It is exactly how I envisioned it.

Making Preparations

This upcoming week, my life will revolve around:

Yep, I will be packing my life away preparing for the big move on Saturday!! The day has finally come and I am very anxious to move into my very first house. The movers will be here bright and early on Saturday morning. YAY!

Only 3 weeks left!!!!

Have I mentioned how excited I am about my house? It has been such an amazing process watching my very first house go up. Between picking out all of my colors, making my "own" decisions, and visiting my lot every single day, I am finally almost there! Just 3 short weeks left until everything is complete and I could not be more excited (obviously).

The den is coming along quite nicely. The first coat of paint is up and I love the color! 

The landscaping has started! We are down to the final finishing touches. I can't wait for the final product!

House Progress

My house is progressing so quickly and it is making me so excited!!! I went out to look at it yesterday and took a new picture...

The roof is completed!! The brick is laid out, ready to go as well. Hopefully we will see lots of progress as we end the month. YAY!!! 

Snow Day!

I have always loved snow days! This was our first big snow at my parents new house. We went out walking and took some pics throughout the neighborhood. We did not get very far considering everything was completely ICED over.
